Solar Cap

posted Jul 29, 2012, 8:34 PM by JustBenke   [ updated Jul 30, 2012, 9:20 PM ]

More solar stuff!

Why not turn your water bottle into a solar powered lantern.

It is easy just screw on a solar powered cap and... tadah there will be light!

This from ThinkGeek:

“The lightest, brightest LED cap available. Turns your water bottle into a solar powered lantern. This small, lightweight (just 2.6oz) cap fits on any "standard" water bottle (2" wide mouth) such as Nalgene, Camelbak, GSI and most others, turning your bottle into a solar-powered lantern. With clean, green solar energy powering your lantern there are no more burned out batteries to worry about or replace (adding to our already toxic landfills).”

Uh oh.. your phone died. No worries, you have a power charger so you can plug it in...only now you have to carry your charger in one hand and your phone in the other... and with that, no hands left over... There must be a better way...

Pico Mini D

I was in a need of a USB flash drive and I thought I would take a stroll on the Internet and see what was out there. I remember my first 1 gigabyte hard drive; it was as big as a brick. Looking back it’s almost funny how impressed I was at its capacity.  These days, with a little surfing on the net you can find a ton of small flash drives with gigabyte storage capacity. However, it was the nice looking Pico Mini-D flash drive from Super Talent that finally caught my eye. This thing has more than enough storage capacity, a nifty design, polished chrome finish… and… it is so small!
